Higher levels of emotional wellness are associated with: more emotional awareness and balance; clearer thinking; more harmonious relationships; and decisions that result in more positive and more productive outcomes.
We here at the Houston Center for Emotional Wellness (HCEW) exist to offer emotional wellness education and tools designed to help our clients cultivate emotional resources that increase their emotional balance, their emotional resilience, and their emotional wellbeing.
We here at HCEW offer a variety of emotional wellness programs, including online emotional resilience courses, individualized target-based coaching sessions, corporate and community workshops, and intensive retreats.
As the founder and director of the Houston Center for Emotional Wellness, I create emotional wellness programs that integrate psychological tools and theory with contemplative techniques designed to help participants connect with their inner self and intuitive intelligence.
I have received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University and am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.. My experience teaching Psychology at the Undergraduate level has informed and inspired my program development. I value a scientific knowledge. I integrate techniques that are supported by psychological research into the HCEW educational programs.
My perspective and understanding of the world has been shaped by my life experiences, studies in the discipline of psychology, as well as my study of the “Seven Spiritual Truths”, a course taught by Helen Barton 2012 - 2015. Moreover, in 2011, I trained as a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) instructor.
Over the past 17 years, i have shared my integration of Psychology and contemplative studies by creating various seminars that I have shared with academic, corporate, and community audiences.

This business was birthed in the living room of my parent’s home. My mother invited her sisters over to the house and the four of them became my first community-based audience. I stepped in my new role as teacher, sharing what I had learned about emotional wellness and stress reduction.
Over the past 17 years, in my spare time, I have constructed and presented emotional wellness education seminars with academic, corporate, and community audiences.
